build up my strength again

What a gorgeous running route! I’m envious of your surroundings and also your ability to run! Let’s say the extra miles were in my honour k? jusssst kidding!

My goal this year is to go without injury and build up strength again!

We can totally say that the extra miles were in your honor! Injuries can happen so easily and learning from your experience I’ll make sure to add some strength training, yoga and wear compression socks to avoid them.

You are awesome girl! And I hope that after a year of strength training you’ll be able to run again. Warm hug from Rennes!

Ksenija, what a beautiful route you had – I like to run when its warm or hot – but with enough layers I will l run when its cool.
8k in 55 is awesome – you can easily conquer a half marathon!

Thanks, Shashi, I enjoyed it a lot! I always thought that I prefer warm running weather over cold, but as long as the sun is shining and the wind isn’t too strong cold weather feels actually a lot nicer when I am sweaty and hot – btw, I am talking about European cold here: 5 degrees, not less.

    And what an awesome encouragement!

To run a semi-marathon is and my purpose this year! I found plans of training for 12 weeks… And I can’t wait for March to begin. Now at me quite cold snow also lies. Ugh… So I envy your weather ;)

That sounds awesome dear. Yeah, I hate running in snow. I would totally wait for better weather if I were you, too. Actually I have so much time, that I don’t have to worry at all. I won’t be running a race in France, so I have until the end of April to train before I go back to Germany.

Love your story telling in this post! I know what you mean when sometimes you feel like you could run forever…. those pictures look SO beautiful and I can’t wait till I study abroad next Fall! I think I’m going to be going to Bordeaux and could not be more excited. Random thought, but I was sitting in my French class today and thought about how jealous I am of you and how I hope you’re having the time of your life!

Soak up the culture for the both of us :D

Thank you so much, Christine. What an awesome compliment. I actually noticed that I tend to make posts more about the pictures and less about the story recently and I would really love to change that.

Are you going to Bordeaux for a whole semester? That would be amazing! We could probably meet up. Germany is not that far away!

I am definitely soaking up everything – though last night the “french culture” looked more like a hell lot of latino dancing and mojitos

How lucky for you to have such beautiful surroundings to run at. I love changing up my running location but there only so many places you can run before having to drive out of town to see something else – which I’ve also been known to do.

I hope that I’ll never get sick of the view, because I seriously wouldn’t know where else to get my long-distance runs in so effortlessly!
